Project 01 · Wikimedia Commons · Volunteer

Cat-a-lot Gadget

Improved the Cat-a-lot JavaScript gadget, a widely-used tool on Wikimedia Commons for bulk photo categorisation. Investigated and fixed a critical bug where selecting a protected file caused the in-progress dialog to hang indefinitely. Enhanced error handling with callbacks, created user-friendly dialogs (Ignore & continue / Stop editing), improved feedback to users, added dark mode support, and modularised the error display logic. The fix was reviewed and merged into the production version.

Project 02 · Wikimedia Foundation · Outreachy Round 30

MediaWiki VisualData JSON-Schema

Contributed to MediaWiki's VisualData extension by implementing JSON-Schema support, improving structured data handling across Wikimedia projects. Collaborated with project maintainers to build functionality that simplifies the importation of pages, schemas, and slots — with a full editor handling CRUD operations. Continued as a volunteer after the internship, maintaining and enhancing the extension by writing code, reviewing feedback, and raising pull requests.

Project 03 · ViciaTech Engineering · Jul–Aug 2022

Ribes Page — Frontend Components

Built and shipped multiple responsive UI components for Ribes Page, an early-stage Nigerian professional platform by ViciaTech Engineering. Implemented an About component, Overview section, Hire Me modal, Resend Email modal, and Uploads component — all designed and tested across mobile and desktop viewports. Worked within a structured Git workflow, raising PRs and merging into the develop branch alongside the core team.

Project 04 · OCaml · Outreachy Contribution

OCaml Website Footer Restructuring

As an Outreachy applicant, completed a selected task to rearrange links within the footer template of the OCaml project's website. Reorganised footer links for improved navigation and user experience. Collaborated with the OCaml development team, adhered to project standards, and ensured seamless integration with the existing website design.
